A story has emerged from China recently of a young boy called Nong Youhui whose eyes not only glow in the dark but also allow him to see, and even read in total darkness.
Nong has astonished medics with his amazing ability since his Father took him to a hospital in Dahua (southern China) - concerned about his Son’s bright blue eyes which like a cat’s glow in the dark.
The following video is a news report on the story and shows Nong demonstrating his extraordinary eyesight.
The Sun who covered the story in a recent article said:
“Medical tests conducted in complete darkness show Youhui can read perfectly without any light and sees as clearly as most people do during the day.”
Experts are said to believe that young Nong has a rare eye condition known as Leukodermia, which causes thinner layers of protective pigment in the eyes making them more sensitive to light.
